Level I

Following topics will be discussed

 

  1. mounting the embroidery frame

  2. transferring the pattern to the fabric

  3. making the chain stitch with the Lunéville needle (using cotton, silk and metal threads)

  4. processing beads, bugles, sequences, and various stones in embroidery

  5. applying basic methods of filling with satin stitch, beads and sequences using French and Indian techniques.

  6. combining various materials and techniques

 

At the end of the program, we will make our first embroidery design/project using all known methods and techniques.

Level II

Following topics will be covered:

  1. improving skills in mounting the embroidery frame (using a larger embroidery frame). 

  2. repeating and perfecting all previously known French and Indian methods of embroidery

  3. exercising embroidery using thick and non-transparent fabrics 

  4. learning new types of stitches with and without accessories combining methods and techniques

  5. applying more methods and techniques of filling using satin stitch and/or accessories in French and Indian embroidery

  6. learning to embroider on the various fragments of the cloth /cuts (sleeves, cuff, collar, etc.)

At the end of the program, we will make our embroidery design/project using all known methods and techniques.

Level III

 During the Professional Course of study, we will:

  1. Learn the basics of the 3D pattern-making (from the mannequin) and its creative variation

  2. Learn Professional Draping and Moulage 

  3. Master the subtleties of transferring patterns to an Embroidery frame, and creating various patterns or motifs on the fabric

  4. Apply and improve more methods and techniques of Embroidery in the French and Indian methods using decorative material.

  5. Not only sharpen the foresight during the embroidery preparation but will develop the vision of the future assembled work

    At the end of the program, we will create your own project or range of accessories using all known methods and techniques of embroidery
